BRIEF BIOGRAPHY:

Born in 1946 in Leningrad, Dr. Kozintsev began its work at the Museum of Anthropology and Ethnography of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1971. He participated in numerous archaeological, anthropological, and primatological field projects. Dr. Kozintsev is the author of six monographs and over 250 other publications including those in American Journal of Physical Anthropology, Arctic Anthropology, Human Evolution, Anthropologie, Homo, Primates, Journal of the Anthropological Society of Nippon, Aggressive Behavior, Current Anthropology, Journal of Indo-European Studies, and European Journal of Archaeology. Lectured at Saint Petersburg State University Department of Archaeology, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences (Smolny/Bard), Saint-Petersburg Institute of Human Biology and Psychology, Wallenberg Institute, and European University at St. Petersburg.

EDUCATION:

1988 Doctor of Historical Sciences. Doctoral dissertation title: Ethnic Epigenetics: Geographic Variation of Cranial Sutures in Man. Teachers and advisors: L. S. Klejn, A. D. Stolyar, and I. I. Gokhman.

1972 Candidate of Historical Sciences, the USSR Academy of Sciences, Institute of Ethnography, Leningrad.

1968 Specialist diploma in History (Archeology), the Leningrad State University.

MAIN RESEARCH TOPICS:

Biological and cultural anthropology; population history of Eurasia and America.
